Over the last decade, Miami Fades barbers have completed more than 10,000 first fades for families across Toronto and the GTA. Every one of them was a milestone, and now we want to give your family something sentimental to keep.
Every First Fade comes with an official certificate, signed by founder Dwight Murray and emailed to you after the visit. It marks a special moment: your child's first step into self-care and self-confidence. Our barbers work with every hair type, including textured and curly hair, with patience, precision and care.
How it works
Four simple steps.

Reserve online
Choose your shop, then Kids Fade. For a very first haircut, age 5 and under, add the First Haircut option and we add 15 minutes to the visit.

Arrive a few minutes early
Give your child a moment to settle in and meet their barber before the cape goes on.

At their pace
Your barber explains each step, pauses when needed and keeps the visit calm and comfortable.

The certificate
After the visit, we email an official First Fade certificate with your child's first name, the date, the shop and their barber.

Who is the First Fade for?
Any child 12 and under having their first Kids Fade at Miami Fades. For a very first haircut, age 5 and under, choose the First Haircut option when you reserve.
How much does it cost?
A Kids Fade starts from CAD $44.15 before tax. The First Haircut option adds 15 minutes at no extra charge. Prices vary by location and barber, and you confirm the total when you reserve.
Is the certificate included?
Yes. Every First Fade includes an official certificate, emailed to you after the visit. It is ready to print, frame or share with family.
What if my child is nervous?
That is completely normal. Your barber goes at your child's pace and can pause whenever needed. For children 5 and under, the First Haircut option gives the visit an extra 15 minutes.
