Founder and CEO
Barber. Aviator at heart. Entrepreneur. Founder of Miami Fades.
Based on a true story
Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Dwight began cutting hair at twelve and started pilot training at sixteen. After moving to Canada, a difficult turn in his aviation journey pushed him back toward the craft that had always been with him.
Miami Fades began as a way to fund flight school. It became something larger: a company built around precision, hospitality, resilience and the belief that personal care can change how people carry themselves.
A founder’s principles
Technical excellence is earned through discipline, repetition and respect for the details.
Guests should feel understood, restored and more confident when they leave than when they arrived.
A strong company should create pathways for people to learn, lead and build meaningful futures.
Hospitality is the feeling of being welcomed, remembered and genuinely part of something.
“Personal care can build confidence, create opportunity and help people feel that they belong.”
Looking forward
Dwight’s next chapter for Miami Fades brings grooming together with membership, wellness, hospitality, culture and community—creating a destination designed around how people want to feel.
